Premier Equine Three Ring Dutch Gag with Copper Lozenge

A Three Ring Dutch Gag has four rings in total, but only three where the reins can be attached, giving it its name. The top ring attaches to the bridle cheekpieces and the reins can be used on any of the three lower rings for a variety of leverage options.

Also known as a continental bit, it raises the bit in the horse's mouth like a traditional gag, but without the same severity. Using the lower rings significantly increases poll pressure, so two reins or roundings on a single rein are recommended, allowing correct contact on the snaffle ring without poll pressure when needed.
